MANNA MADE EASY

Manna is a gift card fundraising program by which the participating PHS fine arts families receive a 'rebate' back for their purchases. These rebates can then be used to pay for various fine arts expenses. See below for the EZ steps to follow in order to become a manna participant:

  2. 2.Pay the yearly $25 participation 'fee' (via PBB or PCB dues, or donation to PHS Fine Arts Endowment Fund).

  3. 3.Contact the Manna Co-Chairs, Lucie Kreidler & Jan Scott, and request login info.

  4. 4.Check out http://www.mannagroup.net/ to see the available gift card denominations.

  5. 5.Log on to http://www.mannaorders.net/ (our school code is 390)

  6. 6.Using the online ordering instructions, place your first order and submit payment/order printout copy by the 1st of each month (NOTE: ALL CHECKS MUST BE MADE OUT TO PROSPECT CHORAL BOOSTERS -- NO CASH ACCEPTED)

WHAT IS MANNA?

The fabulous choir fundraising program that directly benefits YOUR CHILD.  You simply order gift cards for places you ordinarily shop.  Really, the list of participating companies numbers over 100, and includes such common stores / restaurants as Jewel, Dominick’s, Shell, Speedway, Panera, Starbucks, Burger King, Sears, Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond, American Eagle, etc.  These gift cards are just like the type you can buy at the store and might give as a gift – most are typically like plastic credit cards, though some are paper certificates.  The gift cards you receive are dollar for dollar the exact amount as you purchased.  The earnings come from Manna rebating the buyers a percentage of each purchase (rebate amounts vary by company, anywhere from 2% to 25% with most rebates between 5-9%).  Student earnings are calculated by subtracting a 1% program fee from the total rebate amount for a given order.  Those earnings will be listed for you when you pick up your order, and will be credited to your student account each month by the PCB treasurer.

Because of the tremendous earning potential for student accounts, Prospect Choral Boosters operates the Manna fundraiser throughout the calendar year – summers included!

YEARLY MANNA 'DUES' (for some Orchestra or Orchesis families):

As of July 1st, any NON Band or Choral Booster Manna family must make their yearly $25 contribution either to the Prospect Choral Boosters, or to the PHS Endowment for the Performing Arts Fund (just include a separate check to either group with your July manna order).  Since all Band Booster & Choral Booster families just paid their $25 dues for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year, all non-booster families must also contribute an equal amount to the Endowment Fund (or to the Choral Boosters, per your discretion).  This stipulation was agreed upon by the Band & Choral Booster Boards in order to allow ALL fine arts families the ability to earn manna funds to help offset their students' fine arts expenses, while maintaining equality for all participating manna families.  Your next manna order will NOT be processed if this contribution is not received.

>> If your youngest child is graduating, you may still order manna.  As an 'alumni' family, you do not have to pay PCB dues to participate, and the rebate funds from your orders will go towards the general PCB Fund (for scholarships, etc.)

>> If you have a child graduating this year and younger child attending PHS in the Fall 2012 (a year in between), please email the PCB Treasurers and request that your family account remain active.  You may still order manna in the interim year, provided you pay PCB yearly dues.

>> Any questions concerning your remaining balance can be directed towards the PCB Treasurers (email reference above).
